The 5-acre park on the shores of the Columbia River, approximately 3 miles north of the community of Orondo, is jointly owned by the Port of Douglas County and the Chelan County Public Utility District. Under terms of an agreement reached in 1979, the Port manages the property. The park features RV and tent camping, boat launching and dock facilities, as well as a boat fueling facility and concessions. The fueling facility is the only one on the river between Rocky Reach Dam and Wells Dam.
In 2014 the Port completed a comprehensive plan for the Orondo River Park. The purpose of the plan is to documant the Port's intent and commitment to maintaining the Orondo River Park. This plan provides staff and public officials guidance for the current and future use and enjoyment of the park by local residents and visitors. The complete Comprehensive plan can be found here.
The Park is Open for the Season.
