About the Orondo River Park: This 5-acre park on the shores of the Columbia River, approximately 3 miles north of the community of Orondo, is jointly owned by the Port of Douglas County and the Chelan County Public Utility District. Under terms of an agreement reached in 1979, the Port manages the property. During the 2018 park season the camping facilities will be closed and the park will open as a day use facility only will limited access. The boat launch and restrooms will be open however teh swim beach and picinic grounds will be closed.
In 2014 the Port completed a comprehensive plan for the Orondo River Park. The purpose of the plan is to documant the Port's intent and commitment to maintaining the Orondo River Park. This plan provides staff and public officials guidance for the current and future use and enjoyment of the park by local residents and visitors. The complete Comprehensive plan can be found here.
The Park is Open for Day Use Only During the 2018 Season.
