The Port of Douglas County is seeking bids on the South Billingsley Drive extension project. The project will extend existing improvements within the Port of Douglas County Pangborn Airport Business Park to allow lot development. These improvements include a cul-de-sac approximately 350 feet in length with water, sewer storm and power improvements. The bid documents can be found at the following link:

The Port of Douglas County is requiring bids to be turned in by October 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., at 455 6th Street NE, Suite 100, East Wenatchee, Washington, 98802. If you are not currently on the Port of Douglas County Small Works Roster, please notify the Port of Douglas County to be placed on the roster prior to bidding.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
 

Sealed bids will be received by the Port of Douglas County at 455 6th  Street NE, Suite100, East Wenatchee, Washington for the construction of the ACCOR Building Additionin East Wenatchee, Washington.

 

Time limits for receipt of proposals are as follows:

 

Section 00 41 00 – Price Proposal and sub-contractor listing must be received by 3:00 pm, November 7th, 2016

 

Bids received after this time will not be considered.

Pre-bid walkthroughs will be held on Friday October 21st at 10:00 am and on Wednesday October 26th at 10:00 am..

SCOPE OF WORK

The project is for a 19,350 sf pre-engineered steel building addition to the existing Accor Technology Building in East Wenatchee. The addition will include lighting, electrical distribution, HVAC, fire sprinkler systems, a single restroom, insulated and unfinished interior construction, concrete slab on grade, ans sectional and hollow metal doors. Modifications to the existing building will include removal of existing adn installation of new canopies and wall panels, and door opening modifications. The site will include the relocation of some HVAC equipment, modifications to parking and walks, site grading, crushed rock surfacing. Existing water adn sewer systems will be extended to the site, including new fire hydrants. The existing storm sewer will be extended to connect to new areas near the building.


Contract Documents

Bidding Documents, including Instructions to Bidders, Forms of Agreement, General Requirements, Drawings and Specifications entitled, ACCOR BUILDING ADDITION may be requested from the Architect in Photoshop Document format and may also be examined at various construction councils and building association plan centers, a list of which is available from the office of the Architect.

Prime Bidders may obtain up to two sets of Bidding Documents fromt he Architects office. Mechanical and Electrical sub-bidders may obtain one set upon making a deposit of $150

Refundable Deposit $150

0ther sub-bidders and suppliers may purchase sets or parts of sets, and Prime bidders may purchase additional sets by paying for the cost of reporduction.

Prime Bidders, Mechanical and Electrical sub-bidders who are bidding without procuring plans from the Architect are required to send a written request to be included on the bidder's list and shall identify the source of theor bid documents.

 

FORFEITURE OF DEPOSITS
 

Potential prime bidders who do not submit bona fide prime bids and do not return their Bidding Documents at least 36 hours prior to the time set for bid opening will forfeit the full amount of their deposits.

 

All Drawings and Specifications, and copies of same, remain the Architects property and mus tbe returned. Except as stipulated above, deposits will be refunded upon return of the Documents in clean, unmarked, undamaged condition no more than 7 calendar days after bids are received.

 

Cost of repair or replacement of unclean, marked or damaged documents will be deducted from the deposit before it is refunded.

 

PREVAILING WAGE

 

The State of Washington prevailing wage rates are applicable for this public works project located in DouglasCounty. Bidders are responsible to verify and use the most recent prevailing wage rates. The “EffectiveDate” for this projec tis the Bid Proposal due date above. The applicable prevailing wage rates may be found on the Department of Labor and Industries website located at:

BID OPENING

 

Bids will be opened and read publicly by the Owner’s representative immediately following the hour set above.

 

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities, without cause.
