Douglas County and its communities enjoy access to a full range of infrastructure and utility services. At $.025/kilowatt hour (that is NOT a typo!), customers of the Douglas County Public Utility District have reliable, cheap access to power that is generated at the PUD’s hydroelectric dam, Wells Dam. Access to North Central Washington is easy, given the rail, highway and air transportation facilities that are available, as well as the high speed fiber optic networks that serve the majority of the county. In addition to the infrastructure and utilities provided by each community (please see their websites), there are several other public entities responsible for providing service to our region. Listed below are some of the infrastructure and utility purveyors useful for people looking to locate their business in the County.
